That is what we mean by the word mystery: it is something that can only be known through God’s Revelation. The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the source of all the mysteries of our faith. We can be faithful followers of God and profess our faith in the Holy Trinity while it remains a mystery. The Sacraments, or Sacred Mysteries are the most important means by which the faithful may obtain union with God, provided they are received with faith after appropriate preparation. Christians believe that God is present everywhere and fills all things by his divine grace, and that all of creation is, in some sense, a "sacrament". The Mystery of Faith explores the essentials of Christian belief and the ancient spiritual practices that enable us to live and flourish in the light of God’s grace. John-Francis Friendship draws on the riches of the Christian tradition and his own experience of Religious life to introduce practices that guide our daily living as God’s people.
